History
Tournemire was a member city-state of the Pyralian Confederation. When the region became a part of the Empire of Metamor, the area became the Province of Tourne, with Tournemire as it's capital.
The fortress of Chateau Marzac was built on the southernmost tip of the Tournish peninsula (not far from the site of ancient Jagoduun), and it was long believed to be haunted or cursed. Periodically priests were sent to exorcise the castle, and for a time it seemed to work. In truth, however, anyone who went to Marzac and touched the power that lay there was corrupted by it, falling into service to the Underworld. This gateway was sealed in 707CR, which resulted in the mana cycle changing and an increase of mana levels started.
