Sathmore Empire
History
The Sathmore Empire contained the following areas:
- Elvquelin (the capital)
- Isenport (now home to the military college and the bulk of the Imperial Navy)
- Magdalain Island1
- Sathmore Range (a Highlands region, home mostly to sheep ranchers and miners)
- Silvassa (a major trade city and cultural melting-pot)
Current Status
The Sathmore Empire, after dissolution, became the provinces of Cymru (with its capital at Isenport), Magdalain, Quelinney (capital at Elvquelin), part of the Highlands, and Orien (capital at Silvassa) of the Metamor Empire.
Author's Notes
Sathmore was my answer to the question, "What if the Celts had become an integral part of the Roman Empire?" It is the Suielman Empire's Byzantium, the remnant empire that survived after the heart of the empire collapsed. The different provinces represent different branches of the Celtic tradition: Quelinney for the Irish, Cymru for the Welsh, Highlands for the Scots, Magdalain for the Isle of Man, and Orien for Brittany and the other Celts of the European mainland.
