History
The largest and most powerful nation of Irombi, a technologically advanced civilization that has dominated its corner of the world since at least the sixth century.
Also referred to as Spake by the people of Whales, Espaku's historical rivals for control of the Central Sea. Spake the name has a sound more in keeping with the native tongue of Whales.
Espaku's terrain varies from arid in the north to tropical rain forest and mountains in the south, and it is home to the largest oil reserves outside the Desert of Dreaming.
Spakeans also have a magical tradition based on summoning magical creatures to do the bidding of the summoner.1
The people of Espaku are called Espaki or Spakeans.
Espaku was one of the Central Powers during the First World War and one of the Triad nations during the Second World War.
