Skyway Level 1- The Dusk

Background

The elevator stopped again at the skyway level of the Dusk. Indar filed out with the others in the expected fashion and made a beeline for the hotel. He didn't go down to this level often; he only came when things went really wrong for someone else. Everything was darker; the upper sky levels diffusing the light, the density of buildings blocking that light further, combining with the lack of resources and will to keep things cleaner. Granted, he wasn't on The Street, but it was obvious that he was much closer to it than the part of Metamor City that the Sign of the Tree called home.

Most people on this level fall under the Social status Rank 2. This status level includes most unionized industrial laborers, students, waitresses and other service industry workers, and entry-level employees in most professional career paths (clerks, paralegals, rookie cops, medical residents, young Sensualists, etc.).

Status level and Skyway level are closely tied, but not regulated. For example, someone who wants to save money may live on a level lower than their social peers. Kate Kitaen) lives on the Dusk in order to save money for a down payment on a condo on a higher skyway.

Places of Note

Serenity Arms- the home of Kate and Isri Fallon - Note, it starts on the Street level then crosses up into the Dusk.
