Hard to find any fault with with parts 1 and 2, although I think the red eyes in the violin might have been just a touch more cliche than needed. I trust you know by now how I feel about section 3, although for those of us who have read classic MK, it was an interesting compare and contrast between Isaac's relationship with Threnody and Vinsah's relationship with Kyia.

Thanks, Mystic! I hadn't thought about the similarities between Isaac/Threnody and Vinsah/Kyia at the time, but that's definitely an interesting connection.

I've added about 3000 words to the story, so I'll be interested to hear what you all think about the latest developments…

Very good story. Didn't go the way I thought it was going to based on the first two sections, which is a good thing. I was worried about it being a bit too cliche, but you mixed up the plot turns enough to avoid it completely :)

Aside from my usual complaint and the red eyes I can't think of an improvement. The end in particular was particularly enjoyable to read, both with Isaac's rejection of the Fae (I loved the delivery about the changed reason for not being able to look at her) and Abbey's invitation to take him in. :)
