Hmmm, being in corrections I might be able to help here.
A) Service Pistol (be it Gunpowder, Gauss, or Manaburst) as appropriate for the location. Within highly magical lands they might carry one weapon capable of multiple discharge types.
B) Subdual Pistol (i.e. Tazer Pistol) with both electro-stun and mana-stun functions.
C) Chemical Agent (Pepper spray) with both capsicum, silver oxide, and garlic. Generally highly effective against humans and animorphs alike, as well as vampires. Its effect is limited against extraplanar creatures (Fallen, Fae, et al). Against those able to assume a gasseous form a well timed burst of chemical agent can be more disrupting than a point-blank mana surge as the chemical agent fully penetrates the target.
D) Restraints. Two pair of conventional handcuffs, and two mana-disrupting tags that can be placed around the neck of the detainee. Additional restraints are available in the squad vehicle, generally plastic zip-ties, and temporary mana-disruptors.
E) Nightstick. These are no longer carried, removed from service in favor of the collapsable baton (asp) with a mana-discharge battery in the base. Upon contact with a mana-source the discharge cell disrupts its weave for a short time. After chase situations or where escape may be eminent this can be used to render Sweeps/Swoops nonfunctional for several minutes.''
F) Communication Device - Conventional radio where magic is weak, mana-vox where it can be supported. Sometimes the two devices are housed together though their methods of transmission require two different types of recieving/transmitting and frequency setups. Dispatchers are trained to use both systems in a fully integrated manner while street officers tend toward one type or another as their needs and wishes dictate.
G) Holdout gear. A cop's little friends, these items vary from officer to officer. Commonly they consist of a small conventional pistol, a secreted restraint key, pocket knife, secondary communication device or flare, and a light source.
