Might finish up some MK2K ideas I had rattling around as long as the universe is still going.

Metamor City is alive and well. THINGS UNSEEN, the next novel, is coming out this fall in ebook and audiobook. The existing stories are available on Smashwords at [http://www.smashwords.com/books/search?query=metamor+city]. And I'm hard at work plotting out book three, THE LOST AND THE LEAST. We've been quiet for a while, but folks are going to hear from us again very soon. :)

There really hasn't been much discussion on the wiki since the early days when I was hashing out the details of the universe and the overall plot arc. It's more of an ever-growing reference site for the writers than a social community, though, so I'm not really worried about the lack of activity.

Kinda stubbled upon a cool little feature when working on my wiki the other day that I thought I'd share. I like how it randomly brings the less common tags forward. Lets you see stuff that others added that you might not have noticed otherwise. Basically it makes a 3d sphereical(sp?) cloud of tags on the site when added onto a page or the side panel.

You might try cross-posting this over at http://thecursed.org — I think it was a fan over there who created the torrent files.

For that matter, you might also re-try downloading the eps. I just switched over to a different RSS feed because the Feedburner one I was using was full of Teh Fail.

I just ran into Raven for the first time in … well, literally YEARS and learned about the Podcast, and I wannit!
Unfortunately my technelogical edge from the late 90s has blunted to the consistancy of wet cement… so this stuff like 'podcast' and 'RSS feed' comes across as utterly greek to me and my attempts to D/L individual MP3 episodes has failed due to some esoteric deeply buried winblows unexplorer setting.

But I can use torrents… if anyone has the MP3 versions compiled into torrents could they put up a link so I can get at them and listen in?

I had fun doing the foley work for this one. There's something satisfying about playing with blasts of flame and the tortured screams of toasted vampires. :) Be sure to let me know how the volume is on the music; it sounded like it was at a good level when I was putting it together, but I think sometimes the process of compression can alter the mix.

I have the basic recording for "Huntress" trimmed and edited; Leann is going back to do a few re-records on dialogue I wanted done differently, and I should receive those changes today. I plan to do the raw recording for Episode 3 tonight.

No more writing on "Making the Cut" as yet; I need to build up a buffer of several episodes before the podcast debuts on September 23. I'm taking Monday off from work, though, and I plan to jump back into writing at that point.

My current plan is to release the episodes in the following order:

1.) Welcome to the City (9/23)
2.) Huntress (10/07)
3.) House Call (10/21)
4.) The Muse (11/04)
5.) Troubled Minds (11/18)

The first chapter of "Making the Cut" will debut on 12/02. More news as it develops…

We've been emailing and messaging each other about this thing for a while, and I finally got a chance to talk to her on the phone today. Seriously, folks, this woman is majorly cool people, and I am honored as all get-out to have her play the voice of Morgan Drauling.

Oh, and if you want to hear more of Leann, she plays Julia Lessinger in Billibub Baddings and the Case of the Singing Sword, and she will be playing Askana Moldarin for Tee Morris's upcoming podcasts, MOREVI Remastered and Legacy of Morevi.

Thanks! I consider it a wonderful bit of unintentional symmetry that the band that created the music just happened to be named "Metaverse." :-) Amazingly, the appropriateness of it didn't strike me until after I'd already completed the episode…

Do you script out the words ahead of time or wing it?

That one was definitely pre-scripted. I plan on eventually using the Tee Morris/Scott Sigler/JC Hutchins model, with a scripted intro, story recap (where applicable), and story segment, followed by an unscripted banter segment at the end, but I'll need to get more comfortable with the recording process before I'll be able to go to truly unscripted banter. If I tried to wing it right now, the post-recording edits would kill me. :) As it was, I had to insert bits of silence between some of my sentences to slow things down enough to follow what I was saying…
