Just wanted to say hi to all the new people who have joined us in the last couple of weeks. For those of you who have had your applications sitting around waiting for a while, I apologize for the delay. Wikidot doesn't actually tell me when new people apply.

In addition to being the place where new Metamor City stories are vetted before going on the podcast, this is a clearinghouse and discussion forum for any new story ideas that might potentially be incorporated into the universe. If you've got an idea tickling your brain for Metamor City, feel free to throw it out here and we'll at least discuss it!

As far as I have been able to determine it's an all-or-nothing deal. I'm okay with that because Metamor City has a public face now in the form of the podcast, so anything that people need to know for the enjoyment of the stories can be found there. I like the idea of keeping this site as a "safe space" for Metamor City writers to post whatever they need to, without worrying about what they might be giving away. It's not like it's hard to get an invitation; mostly, people just have to ask. :) But when I saw that Google searches for Metamor City were turning up pages on this wiki, including serious spoiler content, I knew I had to do something drastic.

Does Wikidot allow you to restrict some of the pages in a wiki, or is it an all-or-nothing deal? Seems a pity to conceal everything from onlookers, regardless of whether or not the stuff being concealed is a spoiler…

Hi all!

I've decided to make the Metamor City wiki a private site. Since I've discovered that Google is caching pages from this website, it occurred to me that a person who is looking for the podcast might accidentally get spoiled on critical plot points just by doing a Google search. There are some major events coming up in the remaining nine chapters of Making the Cut that I really don't want the listeners to find out about ahead of time, so restricting access to the site seems to be the most logical way to prevent it.

The content of this site has now been upgraded to a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 License. This provides some added protections for us as the authors.

The Metamor City Podcast website now has an intro page, About Metamor City. I've tried to incorporate all of the information that Uri David requested while keeping it as concise as possible. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions on how to improve it, I'd love to hear them.

I've promoted two members of the project to Moderator status. MishaFox, as the universe controller for the original Metamor Keep, is being given this position for reasons that should be obvious. Ryx, as the person most responsible for helping me brainstorm the shape of this universe in its early stages, has literally been writing in the MK2K setting longer than anyone else; a proto-story that he wrote back when we were discussing MK2K by email played a key role in motivating me to create the setting.
