Liam swallowed hard. Tyria Kemmler was an arresting woman under any circumstances: tall, lithe and fair-skinned, with long, elegant hands, a patrician nose, a strong chin, and a blonde braid that fell below her waist. Though she was more than a century old, her mastery of Life magic ensured that she never looked older than forty. Her eyes, bright and blue as aquamarine, watched Liam with an expression of quiet amusement. There was something feline about those eyes—a wildness that said she might decide to cut you open one day, just to see how you worked.

Personality and Appearance

Background

Tyria Kemmler was a contemporary of Artax who was known for her expertise in transmutation and necromancy. She was the lead investigator on the the Balefire spell that destroyed Telvar, and used a key insight from Artax in order to complete the spell (to his lasting guilt). She and Artax were also involved sexually for an unknown period of time. The Triskelions came under increased scrutiny after the Second World War, and Tyria was eventually dismissed from the Order when she refused to abandon her more morally-questionable lines of research.

She never actually used most of the more sinister spells she developed, so criminal charges were not brought against her, and she continued to live in style at the highest levels of Metamor City, selling her arcane services to the wealthy and powerful. Her continued experimentation with dark magic eroded her sanity, however, and in 1996 CR she stole a dragon's egg, killed the fence who had obtained it for her, and caused 50 million marks' worth of property damage in her subsequent battle with the egg's mother (Sigrid Narvalla, who had been living as a human noble woman). She is currently serving a 150-year sentence in a maximum-security Imperial prison.

Known Allies

  • unknown

Known Enemies

  • Artax- While once her lover, at the moment Tyria is probably really upset with Artax because he helped capture her and rescue the dragon's egg from her experiments. She is also one of the few people that knows Artax's original name, and his background.
  • Rafak Aliri- This lutin Private Investigator put together the details and leads the dragon Baroness Sigrid Narvalla to Tyria and recovers the Baroness's egg before the wizard could use it in a powerful death magic ritual. The wizard would have found out who he was during her trial.
