Physical Notes: At the beginning of THINGS UNSEEN, Mysti resembles a humanoid daedra, with red-brown skin and an hourglass figure. She also has pointed ears and a tongue that is twice the normal human length. Her appearance is the result of years of expensive spell-sculpting.
Behavioral Notes: Plays at being a shallow, vapid debutante, pulling outrageous stunts and saying equally outrageous things in order to keep the paparazzi focused on her. Behind the scenes, she is a girly-girl who likes kittens, quilted down comforters, fuzzy sweaters and painting toenails with her best friend Sephie. She is much smarter than people give her credit for, but she has a reckless adventurous side that can sometimes get her into trouble.

Background
Mysti is John the Incubus’s half-sister, and the only member of the family to keep in contact with him after he was excoriated1 when it was discovered that he was an incubus and, therefore, a bastard.
One effect of John's excoriation is that Mysti is now the scion of House Halliway.
John had a big influence on Mysti while she was growing up, and she has become a wild-hearted and vivacious young noblewoman who gives the paparazzi a steady stream of material to work with. Mysti is a devoted Hedonist and uses her connections at the church to spend time with John, but she herself is completely human. She has, however, modified her appearance through years of spell-sculpting in order to more closely resemble the incubi and succubae whom she admires.
Mysti has extensive resources within the Church of Hedonism, which counts her as one of its most valuable advocates. She can draw on large discretionary accounts held by House Halliway, though her father (Count Halliway) is able to track any such expenditures and tighten the purse strings if he doesn't like how she's spending his money. She also has funds of her own that have been earned through various media deals, including acting and singing (neither of which she is terribly good at) and appearances on talk shows and other forms of "reality" TV.

The relationship is quite complicated, especially with Mysti going out of her way to spell-sculpt herself to look into a daedra/succubus… a tangible reminder of what had happened to the young man that the Count had thought was his son and her devotion to the Church of Hedonism.

I remember when Paris Hilton started to really come into the limelight — she came out of nowhere, it seemed, going from obscure to notorious almost overnight. As time went on and her infamy increased, I noticed something: while she was universally scorned and derided, people couldn't look away. They kept watching her shows, going to her movies, buying her music, and above all, talking about her. And there were other hints, too, like her "Funny or Die" video, where she expounded on political views that — while wrapped in Barbie-speak — were actually surprisingly thoughtful. And I gradually stopped thinking of her as a rich idiot with no redeeming qualities, and started thinking of her as someone who was very skillfully playing the part of a rich idiot with no redeeming qualities.
Now, why Ms. Hilton has chosen this path, I've no idea. I doubt she's serving as a secret disciple to the Goddess of Shoes or something. But the thought of what she might be up to, if she existed in a world like Metamor City, was the original inspiration for Mysteria Halliway.
