Other References

  • Mana field density is measured in kilochannings. This is a reference to Jeff "Channing" Wells, a writer from the Transformation Story Archive mailing list (TSA-Talk) where Chris Lester got his start as an author. Channing had more of an influence on Chris than he probably realizes, and while a disagreement on social issues drove them apart, Chris eventually realized that Channing was right all along. Consider this nod a sort of apology.
